Online Preparation: Online Classes Start October 15, 2024
Students will engage in online classes thrice a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) leading up to each thematic workshop. These sessions will focus on introducing and preparing students on the AI theme and the applied skills project for the upcoming workshop.
Microsoft AI Immersion Program
Program Duration:
- Start Date: October 15, 2024
- Online Classes: Every working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
- End Date: January 30, 2025
- Project Completion Deadline: January 04, 2025
- Certification Exam Completion Date: By January 30, 2025
Program Eligibility:
- 7th and 8th Semester students of all branches of Engineering from recognized engineering colleges.
- Students must submit a valid College ID at the time of enrolment for verification and eligibility.
Prerequisites:
To participate in the program, students are required to meet the following prerequisites:
- Laptop/Desktop Access: Students must have access to a personal laptop or desktop computer.
- Internet Connection: A reliable internet connection is necessary for accessing online sessions, LMS resources, and collaborative platforms.
- Student Login ID: A valid student login ID from a recognized academic institution (e.g., ending in .edu, .ac.in, .edu.in, etc.) is required for online engagement and participation.
Exit Criteria:
To successfully complete the program and be eligible for certification, students must meet the following exit criteria:
- Attendance: Aiming for at least 80% attendance in all in-person workshops is highly encouraged to help ensure you get the most out of the program and stay actively engaged with hands-on learning opportunities.
- Project Completion: All applied skills projects that are part of the program must be successfully completed and submitted by January 04, 2025.”
Class Structure
- In-Person Workshops: Held in workshop format on 6 Saturdays at IIITB Campus.
- Online Classes: Conducted three times a week, focusing on topic coverage, reinforcement, pre-workshop preparation, and project guidance.
Delivery Modality
The Microsoft AI Immersion Course will be delivered in a blended format, combining both online and in-person sessions to optimize learning and skill development.
- Online Sessions: The online sessions, conducted thrice a week, will focus on covering theoretical concepts and content completion. These sessions will provide students with a strong foundation in AI principles, preparing them for the hands-on work during the in-person workshops. Additionally, online engagement will include discussions, quizzes, and guidance to ensure students are ready for the applied skills projects.
- In-Person Sessions: The in-person sessions, held twice a month at IIIT Bangalore, will be focused on completing the applied skills projects in a hands-on, workshop-style format. Students will work directly with Azure tools and services to implement the AI solutions they prepared for during the online sessions. These practical workshops are designed to reinforce learning by applying concepts to real-world AI projects, ensuring students gain experience in building AI solutions on Azure.
This combination of online theoretical learning and in-person hands-on workshops ensures that students receive the knowledge and practical skills necessary to succeed in AI-driven careers.

Students will learn from top practicing professionals working with leading multinational companies. These experts bring their real-world AI experience into the workshops, providing students with both practical and theoretical insights.
Assessment and Evaluation
Students will be evaluated through an end-of-instruction test at the completion of the 3-month program. Scoring more than 80% will qualify students for sponsorship of the Microsoft Certification Exam.
LMS Access
- LMS access will be available from the date of registration for 3 months.
- LMS access will expire at the end of the program, but students will retain access to the online content for future reference.
Certification Opportunities
- Course Completion Certificate: Awarded to all students who complete the MS AI-900 Training.
- Microsoft Certification Exam:
- Eligibility: Students scoring over 80% in the end-of-instruction test.
- Exam Sponsorship: Eligible students will have their Microsoft Certification Exam sponsored by the program.
- Verified Skill Certificate: Students will receive a verified skill certificate from Microsoft upon completion of the applied skill topic given to them.
- Internship Certificate: Awarded to students who complete the entire program.
